Ack!... Non!!!! You are making me remember my horrible 6 years of learning french. Sorry, I had four horrible years of learning the language. But it paid off; I had the time of my life studying abroad in Paris for five months.

Out of curiosity, what happened between 2001 and 2003. Obviously you all came over here in the summer of 2003--where was everyone posting until then?

We still called the (horribly redesigned) AOL FFCX forum home.EDIT: Unless you're asking this as a question to each individual poster, which I can't answer for everyone, but I mostly posted at the AOL forums for both FFCX and the RPGA.

Yeah, we were busy feeding trolls at the AOL board. Do the AOL boards still exist? Do trolls exist? If they do, do they have pastel colored hair?

That was around the time I was first introduced to the AOL boards (FFCX) by Mark.... I did not post much there, and then I moved to here when it was up and running.

Do the AOL boards still exist? Do trolls exist? If they do, do they have pastel colored hair? I don't know what became of the old FF7 (or FF Classics, as it's now called) and FFCX AOL boards. I haven't visited either board in a very long time. We abandoned those noron-infested hellholes in favor of a place where we can kick out any troll that shows its stupid face.

What about the Yahoo board? It served as a refuge for some of the core members for about a year (or was it 2?) before the creation of this board.

I was unaware that the Yahoo board got any actual use. I know I posted at it, but I only remember there being a few others that posted; there were a lot of posters that didn't make the move to Yahoo.
In fact, if I remember correctly (IIRC?), Gesh debuted the Yahoo board earlier than he wanted because I was supposed to be losing AOL at the time or something like that.

XxCaLiBuR, we also had a Yahoo board that several of us called home, as well.

Oh, oops.
XxCaLiBuR, we also had a Yahoo board that several of us called home, as well. I remember way back in the day someone figured out the URLs to ALL the posts (some 100,000+ of them, I'm sure). Anyone know what I'm talking about? I'd love to see some old idiocy in print, right in front of my eyes.

I'd love to see some old idiocy in print, right in front of my eyes. If you're talking about the AOL board, I made a compilation of about 500 significant posts spanning a few years. The thing is, even AOL's archive of the board only went back so far. Many were deleted as time went on. Your chances of finding any good posts are pretty poor now.
